Assistant Manager, Research & Development (R&D - Furniture Manufacturing)Company Background:
We are representing a fast-growing furniture manufacturing company in Port Klang. As the team is expanding, they are looking for anAssistant Research & Development Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for new product development and execution of sample products.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning the sample team, following up on work results.
Monitoring, tracking, and organizing all new product samples record system including document record and filing.
Leads the department team in quick response to internal or external requests.
Provide technical support for market products troubleshooting, i.e., quality issues, consumer complaints, etc.
Evaluate, research & develop improved techniques for control of quality, reliability & safety for new and existing products.
Handle the development of products from design to production stages (B.O.M, Technical Drawings, fixtures/jigs).
Assess the cost-effectiveness and availability of raw materials for new product development.
Maintain and prepare all engineering documents.
Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in relevant majors.
Minimum of2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing , including atleast 1 year in a leadership or managerial role.
Proficient inAutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator or other design programs.
Candidate must be willing to work on alternate Saturdays.
Good communication skills inEnglish & Mandarin(Due to business nature).
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) / Alternate Saturday (8:00 am - 1:00 pm).
