Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Sales on pricing strategy formulation, reviewing and advising, and take necessary pricing action to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.
Manage pricing and competitive landscape for continuous evaluation of the Company's competitive advantage/benchmark and provide recommendations for price setting.
Analyze contract negotiations from the Procurement Department to align with parts price proposals.
Uphold pricing procedures and profitability best practices to facilitate alignment of objectives with management.
Develop and define pricing structure, understanding the impact of pricing on profit margins.
Conduct presentations, field research, and cost revisions.
Export Responsibilities:
Develop and recommend annual sales targets for the export market.
Advise and follow up with relevant departments on back orders and WIP orders through reports and meetings.
Advise management on the order fulfillment rate and ensure the Head of Department is aware of the ordering process status.
Oversee day-to-day sales operations including ordering processes, shipment arrangements, and documentation.
Monitor payment from distributors as per agreed terms and follow up with finance for any payment issues.
Handle customer inquiries related to quotations, spare parts, registrations, shipments, training, or any export-related issues.
Ensure activities comply with PROTON's policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Group Legal to ensure the Supply Parts Agreement is agreed upon and implemented by both parties.
Support all projects related to spare parts export matters.
Job Requirements:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales planning and pricing, preferably in the automotive industry.
Good knowledge of application of Principal/Leadership standards & Legislative procedures.
Able to work independently in managing daily operations and ad-hoc projects.
Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Able to speak, read, and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, as translation in business terms is required.
Candidate must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
