Implement and set up the EPCIS standards-based centralized repository to advance track and trace efforts (e.g., pharmaceuticals and medical devices).
Promote the greater use of GS1 standards and the GS1 Data Matrix within the healthcare industry to enhance product traceability, authenticity, patient safety, and combat counterfeit healthcare products, while ensuring better control of the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with international directives that require consistent serialization (e.g., pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, and foods) and country-specific reporting using GS1 standards and keys.
Oversee project management, including planning, implementation, testing, and support for systems integration across the organization.
Support the efficient integration of serialization into business processes, master data, packaging lines, and warehouse operations.
Organize and prepare for systems testing, evaluate results, and ensure standards are maintained.
Manage serial number profiles and pools, and distribute randomized or sequential serial numbers to packaging lines or contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
Maintain the security of serial numbers within the centralized repository.
Integrate with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to retrieve master data (e.g., material master, batch information) and transactional data (e.g., production orders, delivery orders, returns).
Integrate with various systems to perform serial number exchanges (e.g., generate serial numbers if needed and provide them to other systems) and receive product movement data via EPCIS messages.
Serve as the central solution for generating and managing randomized serial numbers, as well as the repository for storing serial numbers.
Trace all serial number movements, including the ability to view product hierarchies.
Enable product authentication when necessary and generate reports and data analytics based on captured information.
Fully support GS1 standards, including core elements of EPCIS 1.1, EPCIS core business vocabulary, and Tag Data Standard 1.9.
Define the specifications for item and service identification, as well as data and messaging structures, based on GS1 standards to ensure uniformity in identifying, exchanging, and verifying information.
Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Ensure that all IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
Qualification :
Bachelor's degree in information technology, data science, computer science, software Engineer/programmer.
Skills required:
Hard Skills Requirements
Must stay current with the latest technologies and trends related to the GS1 space, including unique identification, product attributes, and data management and sharing technologies.
Expertise in web and mobile technologies is essential. Knowledge of several of the following technologies is a plus: linked data, data analytics, cloud computing, RFID, NFC, sensors, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, social networking, 3D printing, and/or imagery/mapping.
Experience in software development, database design & development, ICT infrastructure implementation, administration, sourcing & operations, IT asset management, and IT security.
Demonstrated expert technical knowledge of the ICT industry, including current technologies and trends.
Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services, with strong proficiency in computer hardware.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environments, including Server, Office, and Exchange.
Prior knowledge of GS1 standards is a plus.
