Job Position: Assistant Officer Safety, Health & Environment Salary Up To RM8000 Location: Senai Job Descriptions: Monitoring and inspections to all activities and processes at Plants to ensure good health and safety practice To assist in documentation preparation and compiling for the SHO.
PPE report, inventory and distribution.
To perform weekly Fire Protection Equipment (Fire Extinguisher, Hose Reel, Fire Hydrant and Pump House) inspection and recorded, and also ensured the Fire Protection Equipment in good condition.
To perform weekly First Aid Kit box inspection, inventory and box conditions (On the positioning, expiry date of items and quantity).
To join the sections toolbox and to obtain all the toolbox record for filling and monthly reporting.
To perform the duty as the Companys Environment Officer in Handling of the Scheduled Waste Management and other Legislation Related to EQA under D.O.E Requirements.
To update Schedule waste data in DOE website and ensure the Schedule Waste management is effectively implemented.
To assist SHO on Mykkp applications for JKKP 6, JKKP7,JKKP 8 and P.M.A/P.M.T/P.M.D renewal/applications.
To assist the external consultant on sampling, testing and compiling the report.
To assist S.H.O on other assigned job related to safety, health and environment matters.
To conduct site inspection at Plant area and identified the hazards (Unsafe Act and Unsafe Condition) and take appropriate safety measures and reported to respective plant in-charge and superior.
Assist to investigate accidents and complaints and determining if there has been a breach of health and safety law and also writing reports on results of inspections and investigations and completing detailed paperwork.
Ensuring workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors, head protectors or appropriate types of gloves and clothing.
Ensuring Work Permit and HIRARC is applied accordingly their job tasks.
To assist SHO in all related matter regarding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and BCMS.
Job Requirements: Certificate in Safety and Health from NIOSH or related qualification.
At least two (2) years working experience, preferably in a construction / manufacturing environment.
A certified competent Occupational Safety & Health Officer from NIOSH / Diploma in Science / Engineering (Environmental/ Safety/Health) or Certificate from NIOSH or related approved institution.
Computer literate and able to communicate in English.
Good attitude, positive minded, self-starter, self-motivated person, independent and good team worker.
Possess own transport and willing to travel.
