Assistant Planning Manager

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for daily production, workflow, and material usage optimization.
Ensure production meets customer requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead projects and ensure execution of planning strategies.
Assess capacity modules and schedules.
Drive down overall costs and enhance production quality to fulfill yearly cost and quality targets.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve production problems.
Oversee Key Performance Metrics of the Department.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
Proficient in determining logistics requirements to enable the company's business goals and objectives, with the ability to devise and implement strategies to achieve targets.
Strong financial and analytical ability, proficient in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
Strong and convincing communication skills.
Proficient in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and email skills.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
MBA preferred but not required.
At least 6 years of related Materials Planning experience, including 4 years in a management role.
Proficiency in PC skills.
