Requirements:
We are looking for a committed, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work proactively to ensure the best possible standards of pastoral care and character development across the school. Prior leadership experience in a pastoral role is essential.
A Successful Candidate Will:
Engage and motivate members of staff, in particular Heads of Year.
Demonstrate knowledge of up to date, context specific character, wellbeing and safeguarding best practices and their underlying ethos.
Understand how pastoral and academic roles work together, rather than in isolation.
Demonstrate a strong interest in academic research and wider reading around character development and student wellbeing and how to use that research practically.
Have knowledge and experience of effective pastoral interventions and their underlying ethos.
Have knowledge and experience of Special Educational Needs.
Have knowledge and experience of effective integration for new students.
Knowledge of, and interest in, policy relating to safeguarding, student pastoral support and behaviour development and implementation.
Be able to work collaboratively, develop effective relationships and establish productive partnerships.
