OVERVIEW
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Production Manager in managing the resources required to operate the production plant efficiently for both Dipping and Compounding Sections.
Render assistance to the production team on any process and product quality deficiencies.
Ensure all production processes are in accordance with ISO 9001/13485/GMP requirements and all company rules and regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business/Operations
Assist the Production Manager in overseeing Dipping, Compounding, and Former Team Sections, including manpower arrangement, allocation, and planning.
Execute standards and procedures related to production.
Plan and coordinate production activities and the work of subordinates.
Manage inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and capacity.
Monitor and implement quality control programs.
Investigate production issues and waste, developing resolutions.
Schedule equipment maintenance and inspection.
Plan production with a focus on forecasting material requirements and manpower utilization.
Monitor the overall quality and output of production, reporting any issues to the Senior Manager.
Monitor production operation costs and develop systematic plans to improve costs.
Report daily plant quality status and issues to the Production Senior Manager.
Ensure gloves produced meet customer requirements.
Review and analyze the QC and Packing reports.
Review and control overall gloves inventory, collaborating with the Packing Manager for action plans to reduce glove inventory.
Continuously seek improvements in productivity and efficiency.
Review and update quality system procedures and work instructions.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly planning for Compounding to Dipping activities.
Identify suitable training for subordinates to ensure they can carry out their functions effectively.
Prepare and submit a monthly report to the Manager.
Conduct and review departmental meetings weekly and monthly.
Ensure all subordinates follow company regulations, safety, and health regulations.
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
People/Stakeholder Management
Handle multiple production lines, preferably for a medium to large-scale manufacturing organization with more than 100 direct or indirect staff.
Manage staff performance and coaching.
Build cooperative working relationships inter-departmentally.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Minimum 6 years of working experience in process manufacturing.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
Manufacturing technologies and processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Operational excellence principles and tools (e.g., Value streams, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
Tools involved in resource planning and execution.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques.
Time study and manpower utilization calculation.
