Job Purpose To maintain highly skilled and competent staff to meet daily operational requirements, customers' needs, and expectations.Ensure monthly QIP and Incident reports are submitted accurately and reported timely.To maintain knowledge, observe and enforce the safety measures in the Occupational Therapy section. To assist in the Departmental and Hospital-wide audit activities. Internal processes Monitor and evaluate constantly the departmental Quality and Clinical Indicators. Display the monthly chart in the department. Initiate RCA activities on non-compliance performance.Leading and training champions in providing statistics and data on indicated quality or clinical indicators. Organizational Capability Reflects on and evaluates how well applying knowledge and skills to meet current and emerging work demands and requirements.Makes effective use of learning opportunities within and outside the workplace evaluating their effectiveness and feeding back relevant information.Enables others to develop and apply their knowledge and skills in practice.Contributes to developing the workplace as a learning environment.Ensures staff maintains and updates clinical skills and knowledge by attending all planned 'in-service education' and 'continuing education programs'.Identifying external courses available and proposing to Management accordingly.Compile staff learning needs and assist in the decision of external course opportunities for staff.Maintain interdivisional relationships and actively participate in MDT to ensure good patient care.Attend to customers' feedback and assist with action plans as deemed appropriate.Involved in clinical and administrative meetings/discussions to improve physiotherapy services in the organization. Identifies and evaluates areas for potential service improvement.Review and investigate incident reports. Assist in Audit activitiesEnsure Compliance in all infection control, and environmental safety measures.Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports in the related context. Qualification & Experience A Degree in Occupational Therapy.Registered with the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association and the Malaysian Allied Health Professionals Board.At least 5 years of working experience in an acute setting institute.Occupational Therapy Assessment and Intervention Skills.Specialize skills in at least one specific area of rehabilitation medicines. Internal preceptor for students or junior therapists.EBP Occupational Therapy approach in all ranges and special conditions.Specialized skills and knowledge of specific methods/areas of interest.Leadership and mentoring skills.Proactive and self-initiated.Effective with verbal and written communication in both Bahasa Malaysia & English.Patience, emotional stability, and empathy.
