About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager who is client-centric, growth-focused, an effective communicator and negotiator, disciplined, and a team player to grow relationships with our major clients and achieve profitable sales growth for the Company.
Assigned a portfolio of key clients from an industry sector, the Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets as part of the Company's strategic objectives. The Assistant Sales Manager takes the lead throughout the sales cycle, facilitating teamwork and communication, and ensures that the client's short- and long-term needs are met.
What you'll do:
Manage a team of high-caliber sales talent, introduce strong sales processes, support the development of a full pipeline of sales prospects, engage customers and partners at the executive level, motivate the sales team, resolve conflicts, remove barriers, and provide recognition in the pursuit and achievement of sales revenue and profitability.
Define a vision and create a winning strategy that draws upon the strengths of ESRI and responds to National Government market needs, generating competitive advantage in existing markets and developing consistent new revenue streams that will guarantee short- and long-term achievements.
Monitor and take necessary measures to ensure an adequate pipeline of opportunities and demand generation for sustainable growth.
Build a network of executive relationships across National Government and with key partners and customers to stay current on issues impacting business and sales, providing meaningful strategic advice to retain and grow their businesses through integrated solutions.
Facilitate alignment and effective communication within the sales team and internal/external key partners/customers and promptly resolve any conflict to encourage harmonious and productive interaction.

Minimum 10 years of experience in sales of complex business software/IT solutions.
Proven track record in business application software sales.
At least 3 years experience leading/managing in a team selling environment.
Experience understanding a client's business strategy and their challenges (working with government customers is preferred).
Demonstrated success with complex, long-cycle sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative, and competitive market.
Demonstrated knowledge on consultative selling methodologies.
Experience in managing key business partners.
Business level Bahasa Malaysia and English: Fluent.
