Job Reference Number: HRHP/JD-SPA-008/ Assistant Spa ManagerType of Employment: Full-timeDescription:As Assistant Spa Manager, you are responsible for the work performance of one or more subordinates who are in the front and back-of-house of guest service for consistently meeting differing guests' needs & wants consistent to your assigned area of responsibility in the Rock Spa department, that is, overall daily Rock Spa operation, Training & Development, ESG management, Fire and life safety system, FSMS management, Revenue & Cost management. You direct the procedural and personal dimensions of one or more work processes through these subordinates. An increase in personal efficiency and effectiveness is expected when you work as a team with your subordinates, colleagues and superiors and achieve common goals and targets.
You will:
In absence of the Spa Manager act as the person in charge of the Spa department.
Manage and record monthly training reports and conduct daily training sessions according to each band member's Individual Training Plan.
Monitor and ensure all therapists are competent and have consistent skills & knowledge needed before allowing them to attend & perform treatments on guests.
Ensure all therapists perform and follow the standard treatments steps as per SOPs.
Ensure therapists practice correct usage and quantity of spa products and tools pre, during & post treatments.
Perform professional spa treatments according to spa menu and treatments SOPs to guests when needed in order to support daily operation needs.
Perform administrative work and follow bookings or allocations of treatments assigned as per booking appointment sheet.
Recommend & up sell spa treatments and retail products according to guest requests & needs in order to achieve monthly revenue budget.
Practice positive attitude in working together as a team and have involvement in team activities.
Handle guests' requests, reservations- and booking enquiries, special needs, special enquiries and complaints to ensure high level of guest satisfaction.
Politely decline special requests from male guests that will ruin the hotel's image and reputation.
Interact with guests to proactively obtain feedback and improve guest experiences.
Maintain good self-grooming & personal hygiene at all times as per standard.
Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of spa treatment rooms & spa area to ensure Hard Rock International standards are being applied.
Conduct a daily walk about and report defects in HotSoS to the Maintenance & Engineering Department immediately in order to ensure a well maintained and presentable Rock Spa at all time.
Maintain presence in Spa outlet whilst on duty at all times.
Do overtime and support the team after assigned working hours during busy periods when required.
Have sound knowledge of hotel's outlets, activities and memorabilia.
Run daily spa opening & closing processes and undertake all required procedures according to the designated shift.
Assist in monthly stock take inventories and other responsibilities assigned by Superiors and the Spa Manager.
Give complimentary spa treatments to guests upon Spa Manager's request.
Be an active member during organized philanthropic events.
Assist Spa Manager with or during events, such as booth table, bridal fair, open house, anniversary, opening launch, hotel events, road shows etc.
Requirements:3 years of proven experience in spa management or a similar role, with a track record of success in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue growth.
Certification in massage therapy.
Good communication skill both written and verbal.
Knowledge of wellness industry trends, products, and services.
Familiar with hotel operations, available technology and all distribution channels.
Proactive, well organized, quality driven, detail-minded team player with excellent interpersonal skills and can work independently.
Ability to work on roster schedule, weekends and public holidays.
