Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic control devices such as traffic lights, pedestrian signals, and related electrical systems. Job Description
Installation:Traffic light technicians are involved in the installation of new traffic control devices. This includes mounting traffic lights, pedestrian signals, and associated equipment such as controllers, wiring, and sensors.
Maintenance and Repair:Technicians perform routine maintenance on traffic signals to ensure they are functioning correctly. This involves inspecting and cleaning lenses, replacing bulbs, checking electrical connections, and conducting tests to identify and resolve issues. They also troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or damaged equipment.
Electrical Systems:Traffic light technicians work with electrical systems, including power distribution, wiring, and control panels. They may test electrical components, diagnose electrical faults, and repair or replace faulty components to ensure the proper functioning of the traffic control devices.
Programming and Timing:Technicians may be responsible for programming and adjusting the timing sequences of traffic signals to optimize traffic flow and minimize congestion.
Documentation and Reporting:Technicians maintain records of maintenance and repair activities, documenting inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements. They may also report any unusual or recurring issues to supervisors or traffic management authorities.
Safety Compliance:Traffic light technicians must adhere to safety regulations and standards while working on traffic control devices. They may be required to follow specific guidelines, such as wearing personal protective equipment and following proper safety protocols while working on or near roadways.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
Fresh or experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.
Applicant must have their ownMOTORBIKE , a valid driver's license, and be able to drive.
Based in:Seri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur or UPM
Working Hours:9 am till 5 pm (Monday to Friday)
Sunday - Off
