PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES1.
Financial accounting
Ensure the application of relevant accounting principles to support the preparation of the Bank's and its affiliated entities' financial statements to fulfill its statutory requirements.
This includes recommendations on accounting recognition and measurement on financial products in meeting the Bank's reserves management objectives.
2.
Internal controls
Perform data verification and provide solution of anomalies in financial data and take corrective actions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
3.
System management
Management of accounting system functionalities to ensure efficient generation of accounting results to all users and support the Bank's business requirements on new initiatives.
4.
Financial Analysis
Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, variances and potential areas of concern to assist management in making informed decisions.
5.
Research and Compliance
Actively conduct research on existing accounting treatment and financial reporting policies of the Bank, keeping up to date on the latest development on financial reporting relating to central bank practices and Malaysian Accounting Standard Board to highlight areas for enhancements or adoption to new standards.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE
Core Business Knowledge

Sound knowledge and understanding of financial operations (central banks and commercial)

Keeping abreast with the latest developments in accounting and financial reporting matters including central bank best practices, requirements of financial reporting standards and guidelines to enable effective advisory and policy functions.

Knowledge of relevant MFRS requirements including financial assets accounting.

Competent in preparing financial analysis and highlighting potential opportunity and advisory from
economic events/activities on the Bank/affiliates financial position and performance.

Academic Qualifications: A recognised degree in accounting and/or professional accounting qualification (e.g.
ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW).
Experience:Experience in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting would be an added advantage.
