Objectives
The position will primarily support DSA's North American (NA) Desk in:
Developing new clients and referral sources in the U.S. and Canada for DSA's services in Asia.
Expanding DSA's brand in the U.S. and Canada through marketing and strategic partnership-building conducted with the NA Desk and group-level marketing
Responsibilities
Business Development
Research new potential clients and referral partners in coordination with NA Desk
Contact and develop new client and referral partner leads independently and with NA Desk
Meet, independently or as a team, with existing or potential clients to introduce DSA's services, discuss client needs, and advise on strategic business, operational, legal, tax, accounting, payroll, and IT issues affecting their business plans
Prepare service proposals and legal contracts with service teams and follow up with potential clients to conclude agreements for the provision of services
Track and analyze above activities and report back to evaluate the health and potential ofrelated pipelines
Account Management
Systematically communicate with key clients regarding their needs and assist in flagging problems, finding opportunities (e.g.
cross-selling, etc.
), and/or assisting in reaching a desired outcome
Assist in coordinating deliverables and managing client relationships
Manage leads and clients in our proprietary CRM system
Marketing
Generate marketing opportunities (i.e.
speaking events, B2B events, co-branded publications, content sharing and syndication, service provider listing, interviews, etc.)
Act as speaker and subject matter expert for in person and online events
Develop, independently and with NA Desk marketing, articles and other content on matters relating to foreign investment in Asia
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in accounting, business, international relations, or law
At least 3 years of work experience in account management, accounting, consulting, foreign trade or investment, law or other fields relating to DSA's services
Knowledge of international trade and US foreign direct investment (FDI) in Asia
Understanding of legal and tax systems in China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and/or Vietnam
Experience in IT, ERP, or data protection consulting a plus
Skills
Effective and persuasive communication
Highly responsive and organized work demeanor, with flexibility to adapt to change
Ability to work with teams and manage projects across multiple countries and time zones
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems a plus
Spanish language skills a plus
Travel
Availability to travel, predominantly in the US or Canada, for roughly 5-10 percent of work time
