Role and Responsibility:Position: Asst. Business Development Manager, Central Region (Location: Klang, Selangor) – Protective Packaging
Report to: Senior Manager
Job Description/Responsibilities:
This Business Development role requires at least 3 years of proven experience specializing in Protective Packaging.
This is a hybrid role with 50% focus on global key accounts and 50% hunting for new business.
Identify the best business development strategies to penetrate the new market and grow existing core business.
Take full responsibility to grow and manage all NEFAB businesses.
Accountable for entire sales growth for the region and adhere to company direction in creating new business opportunities, new segments, new industries, new markets, and winning big projects.
Identify customer needs and drive new business opportunities in line with global business strategy, new portfolio with new solutions (e.g., fiber flute, light woods, green materials).
Partner with the global sales team to create a strategic plan to quickly develop and deliver sales.
Able to take a broader view/bigger picture, deep thinking on critical matters with a pre-emptive approach in attacking new accounts and new segments, with clear direction, business strategy, and execution plan.
Able to bring in new clients and foster business relationships to increase sales revenue.
Able to work independently in developing strategies and hands-on in implementation.
Able to drive business development strategies and fulfill activation projects.
Lead the ERP implementation for the entire business development department.
Lead the ESG (Green project) implementation for the entire business development department.
Lead the CRM pipe implementation for the entire business development department.
Reduce the debtors aging for the entire business development department.
Coach junior BD and learn Northern region potential new business (semiconductor, medical, key strategic contract manufacturer), helping junior BD team members to be successful in delivering new business.
Team player who thrives on deadlines-driven projects and delivers under pressure.
Proven experience with business development activities.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering.
Possess strong ability in both hunting and selling skills.
Possess strong leadership skills and strategic mindset.
Possess strong planning and organizational skills.
Possess strong communication and presentation skills.
Extensive background in protective packaging with paper corrugated, foam, and wooden crate solutions.
Familiarity with plastics thermoforming will be an added advantage.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex business-related documents.
Well-versed with proven ability with MS Office, particularly Excel and Power Point.
