To qualify for the role you must haveApplicants must be willing to work in Batu 3, Jln Ipoh.University degree in Accounting or Finance, or those with full or partial professional qualification (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICA, ICAA and CPA Australia).Minimum of 3 years relevant audit experience across the entire audit process, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia.Demonstrate knowledge of current risk-based auditing techniques and risk and control strategies which complies with current regulatory requirements.Demonstrate track record of leading, planning, execution and reporting on audits within tight deadlines.Strong understanding and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), International Standards on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1), and other assurance based reporting standards.Understanding and knowledge of testing both internal control tests of designs and internal control tests of effectiveness.Proficient in written and spoken English.Knowledge of Audit Express software is an added advantage.Application of MFRS, MPERS and MPSAS is an added advantage. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain compliance with all firm policies and procedures.Build and maintain working relationships and interactions with clients and team members to ensure continuous efficient information flow between client and the audit team.Analyze data from financial statements of SME companies in various industries to ensure that they are prepared in accordance with statutory requirements.Support the planning, leading fieldwork, managing performance and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements.Test internal control systems and analytical review procedures.Draft reports and management letters.Preparation of corporate tax computations, deferred tax computation and related schedules.Prepare audit working papers and audited financial statements in compliance with disclosure requirements of CA2016, accounting and audit standards.Provide regular status updates on 'work in progress' audit work and audit drafts against key performance indicators for your team.Get to know our existing clients, their businesses and how they work from our senior staffs.Job planning and delegating work to supporting staff.Handle or assist to finalize and review audit assignments.Prepare consolidation of accounts.Constantly develop your understanding of current market trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues.Complete audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in areas such as revenue, costs, financial instruments and tax.Handle or assist in ad-hoc special assignments.
