We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Involve in the design of electrical power systems covering generation, transmission, and distribution, including technical analysis, design calculations, and drawing preparation.
Perform power system studies (PSS) and apply relevant electrical theory to perform protection relay settings, fault level calculations, CT & VT burden assessments, station DC loading calculations, secondary cable requirements, etc., and develop and verify designs and reports.
Prepare technical reports, present system studies reports, and attend technical meetings on project clarification, design review, and detailed design.
Support project site activities, including supervision, testing & commissioning, audits, and measurements.
Design medium and low voltage electrical distribution and generation systems, including preparing single line diagrams, electrical load lists, cable sizing, design for lighting and small power, motor starter circuitry, lightning and earthing systems, etc., for manufacturing facilities.
Design instrumentation and control systems, including preparing instrument lists based on P&ID, generating instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, input-output lists, and designing control system architectures for automated process plants.
Lead and ensure that electrical systems meet technical and quality standards.
Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for process and machine automation control systems.
Create structured code for control applications and ensure they meet safety standards and operational requirements.
Develop logic and algorithms for real-time control, including interfacing with servo drives, induction drives, and field instruments.
Manage projects effectively and efficiently, covering time plans, risk analysis/contingency plans, FAT, SAT, MAI, and operation training, corrective actions, and satisfactory handovers to users.
Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and debugging of automation and control systems.
Prepare proper documentation throughout the entire design and development process.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnose faults, and perform corrective actions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment and provide technical support to end users.
Support the project management team in delivering projects to business users and handling multiple project deliveries.
Conduct training for users as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Over 5-10 years in relevant disciplines, preferably in a foreign manufacturing environment.
Fundamental knowledge in industrial medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including motor and motor controls, electrical protection, distribution and generation, electrical infrastructure design, and familiarity with relevant engineering standards.
Detailed knowledge of PLC automation, SCADA, and HMI programming.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to develop optional solutions.
Critical planning, presentation, and training skills.
Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in written and verbal English.
Fundamental knowledge in industrial instrumentation and control systems for automated process plants, including the design and implementation of PLC and SCADA.
