Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add anAutomation EngineerinPrai, Penang.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
Design, engineer, and modify existing and new moderately complex automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
Understand the machine operating principle, consequences of wear and tear parts and product defects.
Ensure the uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all types of automation equipment.
Prepare why-why analysis & drive for permanent corrective actions.
Provide feedback to improve the design of processes and equipment.
Direct daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
Coordinate maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
Collaborate and offer input to planning, building, and maintaining the automation framework and associated processes for new products.
Identify and drive change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.
Drive reconciliation process with customer (PPV, Premium charges, carrying costs, freight charges, excess and obsolete inventory, Non-cancelable, Non-Returnable (NCNR), etc.)
Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop materials management plans.
Coordinate quarterly/monthly PPV hardball process.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or related experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 4 years' experience in related fields.
Must have an understanding of CAD, robot and PLC programming, and other automation components.
Background in oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, troubleshooting.
Able to perform assembly DFM, RFP, and RFQ of automation.
