Support the implementation of a strategy for sourcing, engineering, maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems in a standardized way. Support the implementation of a strategy for sourcing, engineering, maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems in a standardized way. Support the continuous improvement of assets, work processes and people capabilities to maximize business profitability optimizing functionality, reliability, efficiency and lifecycle cost or automation systems. Functional area of activity:
Hardware, software, engineering, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for automation systems include: Instruments and associated systems Analytical systems Control and safety valves Invoice metering systems Condition monitoring systems Trailer loading and product certification systems Calibration tools and systems Additionally, hardware and software installations for advanced process control systems, such as Linear Model Predictive Control (LMPC) and Automatic Start-up (AST), are provided. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Influence On-site Operations teams to Improve reliability of plant assets. Train, assess and certify the technical competence of Area Automation System Maintenance Engineers in the On-site Operations team Manage regional contractors and suppliers Operations Perform safety & reliability audits for automation systems and related workflows. Define and follow up on the resulting actions in collaboration with On-site Operations teams Provide Automation Systems technical support to the operating sites and the Remote Operating Centre as required Maintenance Implement a strategy for the sourcing, replacement, engineering, maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems. This Includes: defining which activities should be insourced or outsourced standardization of equipment and service providers (Incl. frame contracts) Identification, selection & development of service providers Identification of obsolescence Issues and planning & execution of suitable upgrade & exchange programs application and ongoing management of condition-based maintenance strategies and the associate data. Assess the competence of maintenance personnel for automation systems (Internal or external) and ensure that gaps between the actual and the required competence are closed. Ensure that maintenance for automation systems Is adequate, cost efficient and in compliance to Linde work processes. Review and support the development of Automation scope of major turnarounds Projects / Modifications Modifications: develop and/or review all major modifications and configuration changes to the automation systems ensure update of the related plant documents in document management system alter modification Lead cluster Implementation of Initiatives resulting from alerts, Lessons from Reliability Events and directives For regionally driven projects work with the project management functions to provide input to: scope definition, costing & schedule specification of respective equipment & services selection of vendors & service suppliers subcontract construction & Installation activities testing & commissioning for major modifications of the existing automation systems (Including emergency situations). For automation systems of new plants or process units: ensure relevant requirements are defined and reviewed by members of the team ensure automation system structures & vendors are compliant with Linde standards and specific project/site requirements participate in relevant project reviews and acceptance (Incl. factory and site acceptance tests, handover of systems) ensure maintenance teams are trained to operate, maintain and troubleshoot the new systems ensure all necessary documents are handed over, are of good quality and are stored In the Linde Gas Global Document Management System In a standardized way collaborate with vendors & service providers to ensure alignment with Linde maintenance teams for troubleshooting and service. support Implementation of the 'Integrate new assets' work now and ensure It Is applied through the Country Cluster with respect to Automation Systems. Troubleshooting - Provide the site teams with the necessary expert support in emergency situations. Support the local investigation of automation system related trips. Prepare the contingency plan for sites Lead or facilitate root cause failure analysis for major(> 10,000 EUR) or repeated downtimes Feedback learning's from Incidents to the reliability Improvement teams and support creation of LFREs' Reporting / performance management· Review downtime reporting of Automation System failures at sites In the Country Cluster Review Internal and external maintenance cost. Review open actions for site teams and provide direct support for site teams to close actions. Report Implementation status of Initiatives resulting from alerts, Lessons from Reliability Events and directives. Key Interfaces:

Suppliers - Selection of suitable regional suppliers, agree on technical scope/solution, stage gate Inspection to ensure quality Service Providers (for maintenance & engineering) - Selection of suitable regional providers, agree on scope, ensure quality Plant Suppliers - Define requirements, review proposed design, participate in stage gate reviews and acceptance Internal Interfaces
Platforms - Align implementation of directive, alerts & Initiatives, Develop / share Root Cause Analysis, lend support where needed and collaborate on solving common Issues Site/Area teams - communicate directives, alerts & initiatives. Support maintenance, troubleshooting etc. RDC - Support troubleshooting, be an Interface to the site teams. Projects & Improvements - Where necessary develop design concepts and / or review Major EMDCs and provide expert Input to Improvement projects - e.g., support scope definition, design review / approval Opportunity & Project Development - define technical requirements specific to local site. Participate In stage gate reviews, Lead handover and acceptance of automation systems Procurement - Work with Procurement to ensure that all supply agreements are properly Implemented when required. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Key soft skills - Ability to take right decision based on facts under pressure. Establish and maintain collaborative authority with contractors/suppliers Ability to influence/convince cross functional teams Including superiors Strong problem solving and project management skills. Good negotiation skills. Good oral & written communication skills In English language to explain and document reasoning for decisions, Key functional skills - Experience in designing, operating, maintaining & troubleshooting control and gas analyzer systems. Detailed knowledge of control systems specifically Siemens PCS7, Siemens PLCs, gas analyzer systems and LAN/WAN networks. Good background In Safety Instrumented systems with knowledge of hazards Involved In operation and maintenance of Instrumentation In the ASU/C02/Hydrogen plants. Knowledge of advanced process control systems such as Linear Model Predictive Control (LMPC) and Automatic Start-up (AST). Detailed knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques Including the use of SAP PM to manage these processes. Detailed knowledge of relevant national and international codes and standards. Basic Knowledge of ASU / HYCO / CO2 plants Including the associated hazards Familiarity with Electrical Sing le Line Diagrams, Protection relays with knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
