Backend Engineer

Job Description Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient backend systems using Node.js and Java. Implement and maintain Elasticsearch-based solutions for efficient data indexing, searching, and retrieval. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Serve as a subject matter expert in Elasticsearch, optimizing queries, and ensuring optimal performance. Design, implement, and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and security. Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to store and retrieve data efficiently. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend systems, ensuring optimal response times. Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to understand and address business requirements. Communicate effectively with team members and provide status updates on project progress. Qualifications Minimum 4 years experience as Backend  Strong expertise in Elasticsearch, including query optimization, index management, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Node.js and Java for backend development. Experience with database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL. Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
