**Job Summary**Responsible for assisting the Banquet Assistant Manager/Banquet Operations Manager in directing and supervising all banquet operations to ensure that all functions run smoothly.**Specifics of the Job**1. To monitor and supervise all banquet set-up for functions and seminars.2. Responsible for supervision of all banquet staff in the absence of Banquet Assistant Manager/ Banquet Operations Manager.3. Ensure that all preparations are ready before the start of the function.4. Conduct training for banquet waiters and banquet casual staff.5. Source for banquet casual staff when the need arises.6. Prepares Casual Labour forms for the hire of banquet part-timers.7. Ensures the necessary administrative and operational details on staff transportation, food, etc are done.8. Check with guests personally to ensure total satisfaction.9. Maintain excellent guest relations.10. Liaise with other hotels/resorts on any banquet items that need to be loaned.11. May conduct briefing before function/seminar.12. Ensure banquet staff adheres to correct standards of personal appearance and hygiene.13. Be around during function to liaise with organizer on any additional needs.14. Inform Banquet Assistant Manager/Banquet Operations Manager regarding any significant comments/complaints/problems occurring within the shift.15. Makes sure that crockery or glasses for the function/seminar are not chipped, cracked or stained.16.
