Responsibilities:
Machine Maintenance and Repair:
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machinery, minimizing production downtime.
Coordinate with internal and external vendors for machine repairs, upgrades, and modifications.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Facility Management:
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
Manage energy efficiency programs and assist in reducing plant utility costs.
Project Management:
Lead the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Plan and manage facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Work with other departments (e.g., Production, QAQC) to align facility and equipment upgrades with operational needs.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all plant maintenance work is done according to safety standards and regulations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, health regulations, and environmental laws.
Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Provide training to plant personnel on safety protocols related to machinery and facility maintenance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
Generate regular reports on plant performance, equipment status, and ongoing projects for management review.
Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), if applicable.
BIM Integration (Optional):
Utilize BIM to support facility layout planning, equipment placement, and space management.
Use BIM for maintenance planning and to visualize plant systems for troubleshooting and improvements.
Assist in facility expansion or renovation projects by leveraging BIM for planning and coordination, if applicable.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) is a plus but not a requirement.
Certification or additional training in plant or facilities management is a plus.
