Position: Basketball Coach
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Various Location
Reports to: General Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Basketball Coach to lead our team and develop our athletes both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the game, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Develop and implement practice plans, strategies, and game plans for the team.Skill Development: Assess players' skills and provide individualized training to improve performance.Game Management: Prepare the team for games, including scouting opponents and making real-time decisions during matches.Communication: Foster open lines of communication with players, parents, and coaching staff to promote teamwork and collaboration.Player Development: Mentor players on sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, both on and off the court.Conditioning and Fitness: Ensure athletes are physically prepared through conditioning programs and injury prevention techniques.Program Administration: Assist in scheduling practices and games, managing equipment, and ensuring compliance with all league regulations and safety protocols.Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships within the community to promote the basketball program.Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience at any level.Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, techniques, and strategies.Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.Ability to work with athletes of varying skill levels and backgrounds.First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
