We are currently seeking a talented BI Developer to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining visually appealing reports and dashboards.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality visualizations, using reporting techniques such as PowerBI.
Responsibilities:
You will work closely with product stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and estimate the time and resources needed for these work packages.
You will be responsible for selecting the most suitable visuals such as charts, graphs, and tables to create and maintain reports, as well as participate in continuous review sessions to maintain quality and adherence to best practices.
You will utilize Azure DevOps as the central development tool for managing code repositories and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Through continuous monitoring and testing, you will ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of developed products, while implementing security measures and access controls to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, continuously optimizing solutions for faster response times and stability, providing support in resolving any arising issues, and documenting development progress.
You will identify, extract, model, integrate, and present data from various internal and external sources.
You will actively participate and contribute to development communities at BASF, proactively sharing experiences and knowledge to foster a culture of innovation and transparency.
You will create visually engaging and insightful reports and take care of publishing and distributing these reports, as well as dashboards.
You will be responsible for developing data models and optimizing data queries.
Your responsibility includes creating interactive features in dashboards and ensuring that reports meet business needs.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.
Minimum 3 – 5 years hands-on experience with Power BI.
Solid experience with Power Query and DAX, which are absolutely vital skills for a Power BI developer.
Experience with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) along with Agile Delivery with incremental enrichments in sprints.
Well proficient in the uses of Azure DevOps (or similar tools such as Jira) as part of SDLC.
Authorization implementation using RLS and solid understanding of data modeling.
Well versed with the use of sophisticated and advanced visuals and PL300, which is a strongly desired skill.
