We are seeking an Assistant Technician specializing in BIM for Structural Engineering to contribute to the delivery of high-quality 2D technical drawings, BIM models, data, and documentation. You will collaborate with project managers and design teams to resolve clashes and conflicts in models and drawings, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the Common Data Environment (CDE) as specified in the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
The Opportunity
Undertake technical drawing production and modelling activities for the team.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of work in accordance with Arup and project standards, while meeting set deadlines.
Maintain personal organization and efficiency in task execution to meet individual deadlines and assist team members in organizing their tasks.
Lead juniors in delivering modelling work on defined tasks or projects with limited supervision.
Provide modelling and coordination input at any stage of a project with guidance from senior team members.
Is this role right for you?
A recognized qualification in engineering, design, drafting, Building Information Modeling (BIM), or a related field.
1–3 years of industry experience in technical drawings production, BIM modeling, or a related field, with the ability to perform routine tasks independently.
Competent skills and experience in applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
Developing skills in applications like Tekla, Solibri, Clarity, ACC/BIM360, Rhino & Grasshopper, Trimble Connect, and BCF collaboration.
Ability to apply BIM standards and protocols in routine tasks with minimal guidance.
