About the role
In this full-time role based in KL Eco City, Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key part in elevating the company's brand presence and reputation through strategic media relations and public communications initiatives.
What you'll be doing
Media Relations:Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with media partners.
Prepare and distribute press releases, media invitations, and other external communications.
Brand Promotion:Create and implement brand promotion strategies to ensure a consistent and positive corporate image.
Crisis Management:Address negative publicity and unforeseen crises in a timely and effective manner to protect the company's reputation.
Internal Coordination:Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
Event Planning:Plan and execute press conferences, exhibitions, and other corporate events to boost the company's visibility and reputation.
Monitoring & Reporting:Monitor and assess the effectiveness of public relations activities, analyze media coverage, and recommend areas for improvement.
Government Relations:Independently manage and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, ensuring that relevant concerns are addressed.
Social Media Management:Lead content development for social media platforms, increasing user engagement and enhancing brand recognition.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in public relations, media relations or corporate communications with team management experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong understanding of media operations and public relations tools.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Creative and strategic thinker, with a keen eye for detail and a solutions-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
