Job SummaryTo undertake sales activities in the Business Unit ensuring the delivery of sales and marketing targets. Manage and develop the distribution partners and relationships to deliver growth and profit metrics.Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities • Manage and develop new and or existing distribution partner relationships. • Responsible for delivery of own sales and business performance targets set for distribution partners. • Build, develop and manage relationships to promote the organization´s propositions, and implement distributors' terms of business with the organization including negotiation, new offer and closures and terminations where required. • Monitor performance of assigned distributors against set expectations, identify performance gaps, define actions or make recommendations to the organization´s leadership. • Investigate and assess unusual and/or complex distributor queries or service requests and determine an appropriate course of action. • Evaluate distribution relationships in order to drive strategy, maximum new business and retention. • Complete evaluation of panel in order to drive maximum penetration/profit. • Identify and deliver appropriate marketing, sales campaigns and initiatives across panel, tailoring marketing and sales campaigns for specific scenario.Job Functions • Qualitative and quantitative targets achieved. • Positive contribution to successful delivery of business objectives. • Demonstrate a flexible and co-operative approach towards changing business needs. • Positive contribution to the development of products and propositions. • Drive new initiatives related to new product offerings or strategies. • Make contact with all brokers on panel to educate and push new initiatives. • Implement the Zurich distribution strategy and objectives through all applicable distributor relationships. • Gather feedback on market intelligence/activity. Carry out presentations and sales training for new product and proposition launches.Business Accountabilities • Identify opportunities through sales disciplines and steer business to deliver sales against profitability targets and quality measures. • Work closely with colleagues in other functions (e.g. Underwriting, Marketing, Operations) to ensure sales campaigns and initiatives are executed effectively. • Track own financial performance against annual financial and operational targets set in own area to ensure these are met. • Fully adhere to the standard sales approaches and tools and adopt agreed format for pipeline management, and contribute to the development of Sales & Distribution practices as appropriate in order to drive continual improvement in sales effectiveness. • Develop knowledge and understanding of risk and compliance policies and procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the standards of behavior and in accordance with policy. • Ensure delivery of good customer outcomes day to day across all elements of individual sales performance. Job QualificationsRequired: • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales areaOR • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Sales areaOR • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Sales areaAND • Territory or portfolio management experience • Relationship building experience across internal and external stakeholdersPreferred: • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Insurance industry experienceYou are the heart & soul of Zurich!
