Business Analyst - English (Penang)

Overview Business Analyst is responsible for the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments.They identify problems and opportunities within a company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals.A Business Analyst job description should cover collaborating with financial reporting and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimise costs and improve internal and external reporting.Qualifications Min.requirements:2-3 years of experience working in a reporting environment, with proven ability to deliver high quality & accurate reports within demanding timescalesStrong technical and numerical skills with advanced Excel skillsStrong communication skills (both written and verbal) - ability to clearly communicate complex quantitative analysis in actionable insightsDetail-oriented and passion for problem-solvingExperienced in handling large datasetsStrong knowledge in Excel formulas, VBA, SQL Language & MacroAbility to work on own initiative or as part of a teamKnowledge of data toolsApplicants must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Actuarial Science/Statistics or equivalent.Responsibilities Responsibilities:Data analysis, spotting data trends, performing gap analysis, generating reports, and recommending improvements to current business metric collection processProduce and deliver tracking and reporting for key KPI/SLA's in the businessResponsible for designing key dashboards and scorecards for Senior Leadership and Business Unit (Team Leaders, Training Team, Quality Analysts, etc.)Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support the business initiativesCreate and maintain efficient and secure systems for recording data and producing relevant documentationMaintaining the daily relationship with the business intelligence supplierSeek opportunities to drive innovation and process improvement within the reporting spectrumUnderstand scope of work committed to the client and engage with clients and analytics delivery teams on overall approach and delivery timelines.Participate in regular calls with delivery teams to review progress and work with the client on data collection efforts to ensure we are collecting essential data for analysis projects.
