The Business Analyst will define, analyse and document business change requirements. The job holder will interact with business users to develop functional and technical solutions to business problems in line with the Bank's strategic objectives.
The job holder will need to understand the current organisational situation, existing & future business processes and conduct gap analysis to help improve the processes to support the growing business demands.
Responsibilities:
Develop and document business processes and/or technical process flows, charts, etc.
Work with colleagues and suggest changes to business processes.
Investigate business issues using own initiative.
Communicate key insights and findings to Project Stakeholders.
Engage regularly with stakeholders to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
Own and develop relationships with stakeholders, working with them to optimize and enhance system integration.
Perform quality assurance.
Help design, document and maintain system processes.
Create direct channels of communication to software and application developers to get the job done without managerial interjection.
Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to Functional Heads.
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Deliver project progress reports, proposals, related documentation, and presentations.
Requirements:
Academic degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields will be preferable.
Experience 2+ years within Finance function (Finance & Accounting and/or Business Analysis).
Tech savvy with strong interest in financial systems.
Foundation certificate in Business Analysis.
Knowledge of core banking applications is an advantage.
Experience in payments schemes is an advantage (CHAPS, Faster Payments, SWIFT).
Adoption of ISO20022 messaging format is an advantage.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio skills.
Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience with demonstrated ability and interest in the position are welcome to apply.
Skills / Attributes Required:
Business implementation experience to support project go-live.
Understanding of financial and accounting systems (E.g., ERP system).
Business process modelling experience to build As-is & To-be processes.
Testing experience involving unit, integration, end-to-end system and UAT.
Build test scripts/cases, track defects and produce/implement test plans.
Experience in writing business requirements, process maps to procedure level definitions and functional specifications.
Excellent communication and team working skills.
Actively seeks out know-how and best practice related to own area of contribution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers and subject matter experts.
