### **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Market Research & Analysis:**
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities in the logistics and shipping sectors.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to propose actionable strategies.
- **Relationship Management:**
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions to meet their objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and enhance service delivery.
- **Proposal Development:**
- Prepare and present persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective clients to win new business.
- Coordinate the preparation of marketing materials and documentation to support business development initiatives.
- **Sales Strategy Implementation:**
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic sales plans that align with overall business goals.
- Monitor the progress of sales initiatives and adjust strategies as required to achieve targets.
- **Performance Tracking & Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline status in CRM systems.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding market developments, competitor actions, and sales performance metrics.
- **Collaboration & Team Support:**
- Work closely with the marketing, finance, and operations teams on cross-functional projects.
- Support the Business Development Manager in various activities as required to achieve departmental goals.
### **Requirements:**
- **Education:**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in business development, sales, or marketing, ideally within the logistics or shipping sectors.
- **Skills:**
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals and enhancing client relationships.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Highly adaptable to changing circumstances and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- **Personality Traits:**
- Hardworking and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team as well as independently.
- **Soft Skills:**
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
