Business Development Executive (Specialty Gases)The job holder is Sales Executive (SE), Specialty Gases reporting to Sales Manager, Specialty Gases.
His/her job scope is similar to any other sales executive in other MFOs.
All the Sales executives will have to work closely with Team Leader and Business Development Executives (hunter/BDE) especially when handling-over the new customers or handling the lost business.
The job holder needs to:
Pursue new business aggressively according to the business objectives set by our company.
SE needs to have strong selling and presentation skills to do the job effectively.
He/she also needs frequent discussions internally with Team Leaders/BDE and other departments including CSO, Billings, Cylinders, and Credit Management.
Plan, lead, organize discussions, and implement business plans to grow the new businesses profitably to meet the department's overall business returns.
He/she also needs to meet his/her superior at least once a week to discuss market challenges, business plans to meet budgets, and planning market strategies to counter competitors.
Be aggressive and tactful when confronting competitors.
He/she will have to be very experienced, making frequent visits to the marketplace to ensure new customers understand and accept our company's products and offerings.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for sales of Non Electronic Special Gases (NESG) and achieving targets set in the geographical area assigned to him/her.
Win new businesses (including new products from existing customers).
Identify new business opportunities from the industrial listing or any other source of information.
Prospect competitors' customers through cold-calling in the existing industrial areas.
Prepare business proposals and make presentations to potential customers.
Manage existing customer accounts.
Work with the credit team and check on the prospects' financial background before signing the business.
Work with the Account Executives (keepers) and follow up on lost business and work on strategies to regain them.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Science or Engineering discipline such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Petrochemical Engineering.
Minimum 2-3 years of technical sales experience in the gas or chemical industry.
Good communication skills in English.
Knowledge of all three major languages (English, Malay, and Mandarin) is an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
