Business Development Manager (Air Freight – Based In Penang)

Business Development Manager (Air Freight – Based in Penang)Expanding air freight customers base in the market.
Customer onboarding & implementation.
Fulfil customer expectations and provide solutions.
Responsibilities:
Plan weekly sales calls.
Create a target sales list and build a pipeline.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals.
Improve profitability.
Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for customer instructions.
Follow up on all sales leads.
Participate with pricing analysis.
Prepare and execute sales presentations.
Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
Participate in sales meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required and/or minimum of 3 years of related work or industry related experience.
Strong experience in transportation industry/sales.
Existing customer base and an established network of contacts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively plan and organize appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
Must have excellent networking skills.
Participation in industry-related organizations.
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
