As we plan for significant expansion, we are in search of an experienced and self-driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives in Malaysia. This pivotal role involves developing strategic business relationships and tailoring our innovative solutions to meet the enterprise-level needs in this vital market, while also expecting frequent travel to our headquarters in Singapore. Role Overview As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in the company's strategic expansion into Malaysia. Your responsibilities will include formulating and executing business strategies, cultivating critical relationships, and ensuring our solutions meet the needs of enterprise-level businesses. Operating autonomously and being the primary representative of the company in Malaysia, your efforts will be essential in driving client success and propelling substantial business growth in the region. Key Responsibilities Business Development Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify potential enterprise clients and opportunities to enhance the sales pipeline. Relationship Building: Forge and maintain strategic relationships with key enterprise-level clients and partners, understanding their needs, and positioning our solution effectively. Sales Conversion: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while expanding the sales pipeline through proactive engagement with prospects, key clients, and partners. This role involves clearly communicating compelling value propositions and building executive-level relationships with C-suite and key stakeholders within target accounts. Market Insights Competitor Analysis: Perform in-depth competitor analyses to strategically position our enterprise solutions. Market Trends: Keep abreast of the latest market trends and industry developments, tailoring strategies to enterprise clients' evolving needs. Cultural Integration: Navigate the Malaysian business landscape with a nuanced understanding of local practices and culture, especially in engaging enterprise clients. Requirements Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Specialized Experience: Over 8 years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on enterprise sales, ideally within data centers and/or financial services sectors. Enterprise Sales Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex sales cycles and engaging with senior decision-makers within large organizations. Market Acumen: Comprehensive knowledge of the Malaysian market, its regulatory practices, and business customs, particularly regarding enterprise engagements. Strategic Vision: A track record of developing and executing strategic partnerships and business strategies for enterprise clients. Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities, capable of influencing key enterprise stakeholders. Additional Requirements Mobility: Must have your own vehicle for travel within Malaysia. Frequent travel to Singapore is expected for meetings and training. A transport allowance will be provided. Autonomous Work Style: Ability to work independently, making strategic decisions and managing your workload effectively without constant supervision.
