Business Development Manager (East Malaysia)We are seeking a dynamic and results-drivenBusiness Development Managerto lead our market expansion efforts in East Malaysia. The ideal candidate will focus on promoting and seeding our PMW brand outdoor LED and solar street lighting solutions to local councils, JKR, and other government agencies. This role requires a strong understanding of the lighting industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate public-sector procurement processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies to promote PMW Lighting's outdoor LED and solar street lighting solutions in the East Malaysia region.
Build and maintain relationships with local councils, JKR, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities with government agencies and private sectors.
Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
Monitor, evaluate, and participate in tenders and bidding processes.
Ensure all tender submissions meet compliance requirements and deadlines.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of PMW Lighting's products, services, and value proposition.
Provide technical and product insights to clients and stakeholders.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in the lighting industry.
Experience in dealing with government agencies or the public sector.
Familiarity with government procurement processes, tenders, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Willingness to travel extensively within the northern region.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
