Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth for the company. This role involves market research, prospecting, and developing strategies to acquire new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The BDM will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction, improve sales processes, and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Identify New Business Opportunities:
Conduct research to identify potential clients, markets, and partnerships. Analyze industry trends to recognize new opportunities for growth.
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
Proactively seek out new business through cold calling, networking, industry events, and partnerships. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of leads.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients, close deals, and meet or exceed sales targets. Present business proposals, negotiate terms, and manage the sales process from start to finish.
Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Market Research and Analysis:
Gather market intelligence to understand competitors, market conditions, and client needs. Use this information to develop competitive strategies and identify new market segments.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure client needs are met and business goals are aligned. Provide feedback to internal teams on client needs and preferences.
Reporting and Metrics Tracking:
Track sales performance, client acquisition, and revenue growth. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting progress toward goals.
Contract Negotiations and Closing:
Lead negotiations with potential clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company. Finalize contracts and agreements to close deals successfully.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with industry trends, sales techniques, and best practices. Seek opportunities to improve personal performance and company sales processes.
Any other task as assigned by superior.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering. MBA is a plus.
Working Experience:
Proven working experience as a sales/business development manager or any relevant role.
Possess sales and marketing experience in the industrial construction field.
Experience in customer support and/or account management.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
Excellent presentation and marketing skills.
Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Special Requirements:
Willing to travel; domestic and/or international.
