Business Development Manger

TheBusiness Development Manager (BDM)is responsible for driving business growth, sales revenue, and market expansion within the industry. This role will oversee customer satisfaction, manage internal and external relationships, and lead cross-functional teams to meet business goals. The BDM will ensure customer needs are met, manage key accounts, and contribute to strategic sales and market development initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets under respective Business Units.
Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize market penetration.
Ensure high levels of customer service, including timely deliveries, addressing quality complaints, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction with service and products.
Cross-Functional Team Management
Lead and manage a team of professionals from various disciplines, including Product Development (PD), New Product Introduction (NPI), and Quality, under the respective Business Unit.
Coordinate efforts to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Customer Satisfaction Monitoring
Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction in terms of service quality, on-time delivery, overall Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), and response to quality complaints.
Request and manage regular sales forecasts from customers to support internal material, resource, and capacity planning.
Analyze sales forecasts and incorporate into business planning.
Business Reviews
Plan and execute business reviews with key customers to assess performance, address issues, and identify growth opportunities.
RFQ Review and Coordination
Review initial RFQs (Request for Quotations) and coordinate with the Product Development (PD) team for design reviews.
Prepare nesting and costing for quotes, ensuring they meet both customer and internal requirements.
New Customer Acquisition
Identify potential new customers and develop strategies to penetrate these markets within a defined period.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Achievement of sales revenue targets and growth.
Customer satisfaction levels, including service quality, on-time delivery, and DPPM.
Successful execution of quarterly business reviews with key customers.
Accuracy and timeliness of sales forecasts and resource planning.
Effectiveness of customer acquisition strategies and new market penetration.
Contribution to the development of strategic market analysis and business opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree or Master of Engineering or Business Administration, preferably in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or an MBA.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development is required, with a solid background in program management, sales management, marketing, and strategy. Experience specifically in the PCB manufacturing industry or related sectors is essential.
Ability to speak and understand Japanese is an advantage.
Proven track record in managing sales revenue, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering customer relationships.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CRM software, and other business tools.
Ability to analyze market trends, develop sales forecasts, and penetrate new business opportunities.
