The primary role of the business manager position is to supervise and lead the operations and employees, and to ensure team productivity and efficiency including implementing business strategies, evaluating team performances, and supervising employees. The business manager assists the director and managers in team operations to achieve overall goals and targets.
We are looking for a driven individual who has business operations experience, technical expertise and team management experience preferably in the biotechnology or engineering field. The candidate will plan, coordinate, prioritize, monitor and support company operations by maintaining office systems and efficiency. We seek an experienced professional to also lead the team to deliver positive cultural impact both within ITS and in our markets that we serve.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Development Director.
Key Accountabilities Oversee overall business operation and assist the Director in day-to-day tasks in achieving business goals and strategic objectives. Design and implement business strategies, and managing teams' day-to-day operations to guarantee company efficiency. Recruiting and training new employees, as well as to perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement within the team Work closely with internal team functions such as sales, service engineering and project management teams towards achieving business goals and objectives Plan, manage and coordinate resource deployment within internal teams to achieve business objective which includes but not limited to tracking team performance, learning and development, performance management, succession planning and industrial relations Making sure that the team has sufficient resources such as personnel, material, and equipment. Creating effective presentations and management-level reports. Ability to analyse and develop financial acumen for understanding economic benefits of specific projects, taking into consideration various revenue sources and cost impact, capex, opex, and other technical assumptions. Qualifications and Experience Must-Haves:
Degree in Business & Marketing related or Engineering preferred. Experience in projects business related field and markets like biotechnology, pharmaceutical, energy or engineering & construction. Have broad understanding of all operational facets of the business operation function including but not limited to Business Optimization, Leads Generation, Stakeholder Engagement, Organization Development, Change Management, and Effective Communication Strong interpersonal and leadership skills The ability to work with accuracy, efficiency and high attention to detail with excellent time and people management skills. Excellent professional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Ability to multi-task and manage effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven, challenging environment. Willingness to travel as necessary. Good to Have:
Preferably with experience in team management positions Effective professional not bound by convention, respects everyone, leads with humility and sees the big picture.
