1. Key Accountabilities
Business Process/Industrial Engineer will assist in the development of logistics and supply chain solutions for new and existing customers. Responsibilities will also include analytical and simulation modelling to support process development optimization. This position requires close partnership with operations personnel to resolve issues and improve processes.
This position requires to review & advise innovation setup in warehouse operation. Manage & keep track the automation projects throughout CEVA Malaysia.
2. Duties
Champion for Automation & Innovation projects.
Perform as leader for innovation day project every September.
Identify at least 2 HIK Kaizen per annum.
Conduct Contract Review for contracts (if needed).
Conduct PRIMO for BPE update for contracts.
Equip knowledge & train operation on LEAN Tools (Scheduling tool, 5S audit, Cycle Count Audit, VSM, PRIMO for BPE update).
Conduct time & motion studies and evaluate production standards.
Work closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of automation and/or robotics to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume.
Monitor performance metrics and measurements related to individuals, teams, and processes.
Analyse material and operational flows and equipment sourcing for efficiencies.
Perform complex engineering tasks of design, evaluation, problem solving, analysis and planning to support logistics operations.
Drive improvement projects (Kaizen) with operations.
Guide & train LEAN tools (ABC Analysis, Scheduling tools, Layered GEMBA Walk) with operations.
Perform Audits (Cycle count, 5S, WI) with operations.
Perform Assessment on CEVA Standard Site Assessment to ensure meeting LEAN standard.
Plan and design equipment layouts, workflow, and accident prevention measure to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities.
Quickly adapt to different working environments, build relationships and be able to work and lead teams efficiently for success.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization to include Executive Leadership and know when to escalate impediments and barriers.
Design new processes to improve safety, boost productivity, quality, and profitability.
