Position Summary :We are currently looking for a highly competent Buyer based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activity for specific dairy categories/markets and secondary KPI´s on behalf of the Global Procurement Dairy Team.Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.Procurement at Nestlé:As strategic partners of the business, we help the company achieve sustainable growth and we ensure responsibly sourced supply and value creation.
Located in hubs in Switzerland, Panama and Malaysia, our division provides a range of services, including the management of procurement for specific raw materials, packaging, indirect materials and other services.
We also support markets with managing local spend.
For you, this will be the opportunity to become a real strategic partner – delivering sustainable value and working with the business, for the business.A day in a life of a Buyer for Dairy:Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models for our Dairy spend categories.
Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
Support contract creation, development and maintenance of Performance reports and other administrative tasks relevant to the success of the group.
Lead value generating projects related to the spend category.
Lead / Support Sustainability activities related to spend category.
Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
Collect and analyze data to support development of Dairy sourcing strategies.
Run the daily administrative tasks and ensure they are carried out in a timely and organized manner.
Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
What makes you successful:University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance or related field.
Confirmed Experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain.
Experience in sourcing or strategic procurement, ideally gained in dairy or commodities.
Knowledge of supplier relationship management.
Rich analytical and project management skills.
Experience of negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex organization.
Fluency in English, any other languages will be an asset.
