Job Description We seek an experienced Buyer who will manage product procurement within allocated budgets and ensure optimal stock levels across all outlets. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying market trends, managing supplier relations, and analyzing product performance to drive strategic purchasing decisions. Responsibilities 1. Manage product buying activities based on specified requirements and budget constraints. 2. Oversee range planning, budget management, stock week cover, and inventory levels to optimize sales and profitability. 3. Identify slow and fast-moving products, initiating immediate actions to enhance inventory turnover. 4. Collaborate with stock merchandisers on stock allocation to outlets and ensure efficient distribution. 5. Engage in product sourcing and development to enhance the product offerings. 6. Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery schedules (ETA and ETD) and ensure timely receipt of goods. 7. Responsible for creating product code and maintaining up-to-date inventory system data. 8. Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and yearly reports to support strategic decision-making. Job Requirements 1. A Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Mathematics, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in retail buying, particularly in FMCG or apparel. 3. Strong analytical abilities, negotiation skills, and a keen eye for merchandising. 4. Candidates with a background in accounting/finance or experience from hypermarkets or FMCG sectors are highly desirable. Who Should Apply 1.
