We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with expertise in renewable energy, specifically in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings and schematics to support the design and implementation of solar energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documents for PV layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Building 3D modelling, electrical wirings, structure details, and bill of materials.
Ensure all drawings and plans adhere to relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all drafting activities, including revisions, updates, and design changes.
Conduct quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Identify potential operational issues and redesign layouts to mitigate or improve them.
Liaise with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and understand project and design requirements, changes, and revisions.
Conduct site visits for design verifications for Preliminary and As-Built drawings preparation.
Provide comprehensive design feedback to improve design quality and workflow.
Assist in the design optimization of solar PV systems.
Effectively communicate with team members and external partners to address technical issues, provide clarifications, and support project coordination.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in solar technology, and changes in regulations to enhance drafting skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Drafter or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, AutoCAD, and familiarity with 3D modelling tools such as Helioscope, SketchUp, and PVcase.
Knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical components, and structural considerations.
Previous experience in drafting for solar PV projects is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to maintain effective work relationships with people from all social backgrounds.
Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
