Join the culinary team at The Culvert, a renowned restaurant in Kuching, Sarawak, as a CDP (Chef de Partie). In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, collaborating with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our customers.
What you'll be doing Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and presentationAssisting the Head Chef in menu planning and development, contributing ideas and techniques to enhance our culinary offeringsMaintaining a clean, organised and efficient work station, adhering to all health and safety regulationsMentoring and training junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and culinary knowledgeCollaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfactionWhat we're looking for Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality restaurant environmentFormal culinary training or qualifications, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesExcellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressureCreative flair and a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create innovative, flavourful dishesExcellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to working in a kitchen environment
