Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia Salary: Competitive base + Shift Allowance plus benefits Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid working arrangement Hours: 40hours per week covering UK business hours from Monday - Friday About the Role As a Cease Engineer, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth transition of IT services, systems, and resources when a client is ending an IT service agreement.
This position ensures that cease & offboarding processes comply with agreements, security protocols, and industry best practices while minimizing service disruptions.
Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact during the cease process, collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and document the impact of ceasing specific technologies on operations and services.
To submit and monitor cease and cancellation requests using Service Now.
Plan and execute client cancellation procedures, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Maintain detailed documentation of the cease process.
Co-ordinate compliance certification requests and maintain termination records.
Ensure any remaining contracts, licenses, and service agreements are canceled or transitioned.
Maintaining databases for documentation and reporting.
This role involves handling volumes of structured data efficiently and ensuring all records related to the cancellation process are accurate, accessible, and securely stored.
Below is a detailed breakdown: Maintain a centralized Storage of cease & offboard Data.
Ensure all security measures are followed during the cease process, including disabling accounts and recovering hardware.
Verify compliance with client agreements, industry regulations, and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
What we are looking for: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Working under pressure, especially when a critical issue has occurred.
Managing your own workload.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to work effectively with clients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Awareness IT systems such as servers, networks connectivity, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, O365), and Software licensing.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
