Job Description:
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, cause papers, affidavits, and submissions.
Manage the timely filing and submission of court documents and applications to relevant authorities.
Assist in case management, including organizing and maintaining case files and documentation.
Attend court proceedings, including case management, hearings, and trials, under the supervision of senior lawyers, when necessary.
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress and resolution.
Support in preparing for hearings and trials, including drafting outlines, compiling bundles, and conducting pre-hearing briefings.
Ensure compliance with procedural rules and deadlines in all matters.
Provide regular updates and reports to clients on case developments.
Assist partners or lawyers to schedule meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Strong academic foundation / knowledge of legal principles.
Proficiency in legal research tools / materials.
Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe.
Able to work with good time management / organisational skills.
Keen eye for details and willing to learn.
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
(Mandarin is not mandatory but a bonus).
