Job Description
The Chargeman B4 is responsible for managing and maintaining both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems within an organization. This role includes overseeing the power supply to various plant components, ensuring effective operation and maintenance of electrical systems, and performing corrective and preventive maintenance on switchgear, equipment, and power distribution networks.
Responsibilities: Oversee new installations and maintenance for various electrical systems.Collaborate with TNB, the Energy Commission, and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.Monitor, track, and analyze daily power consumption, initiating preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and mitigate potential power failures.Supervise installation and maintenance activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and legal guidelines.Perform installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for high voltage transformers, switchgear, electrical wiring systems, air-conditioning systems, firefighting systems, and other building services.Lead and mentor a team of electrical technicians in corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.Conduct calibration and testing of protective relays to ensure optimal system performance.Respond promptly to breakdowns, demonstrating readiness to address and resolve issues swiftly.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, permits, and industry standards.Maintain accurate and comprehensive logbooks for inspections, in line with the Energy Commission's requirements.Manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during minor and major shutdowns.Issue permits to work for ENI work tracks during minor and major shutdowns.Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors.Requirements: Educational Qualifications
Applicant must possess a valid Professional Certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (B4 - 11kV/33kV).Having a "Sijil Pendawaian Elektrik" is an advantage.Have minimum of Sijil Pelajaran MalaysiaRelevant working Experience
Minimum of 10 years of work experience.Familiarity with the Electricity Supply Act, Electrical Regulations, IEE Wiring Regulations, etc.Skills & Competencies
Experience in Shutdown Management and Plant Maintenance.Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
