Job Description The Chargeman (B0) is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations, maintenance, repair of high voltage electrical systems and equipment within the DPP plant.
The job incumbent requires to comply with the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia) safety regulations and standards, to minimize equipment downtime and maintaining optimal plant performance.
1. Operations & Maintenance Oversee the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of high voltage electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear and distribution networks.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems and installations.
Perform necessary repair and maintenance of electrical components / systems as required.
2. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with the local "Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia" (Energy Commission of Malaysia) safety regulations, codes and standards.
Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for electrical systems and equipment.
3. Technical Support Provide technical support and guidance to the maintenance team on high voltage electrical issues.
Assist in the planning and execution of electrical projects, upgrades and modifications, Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialized services and parts.
4. Documentations & Reporting Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs.
Prepare and submit reports on electrical systems performance, issues and resolutions.
Ensure proper documentation of all electrical installations and modifications 5. Emergency Response Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and power outages to minimize downtime.
Implement corrective actions and restore power supply safely and efficiently, 6.
Perform any work or responsibility assigned by the Management as and when necessary.
Qualifications Competent Chargeman (B0) registered with "Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia" – Energy Commission of Malaysia Minimum 5 years experiences in manufacturing industries or its equivalent.
