Chemist (6 Months Contract)

Responsibilities:
Perform analytical tests including QC for Suspended & Total Solids, Color, Oil and Grease, pH, Total Hardness, Calcium Hardness, Total Alkalinity, COD, BOD.
Prepare and submit test reports to customers on time.
Communicate and coordinate with NW divisions to provide required information.
Oversee the lab's QMS in compliance with MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.
Act as the Approved Signatory for test methods under the scope of accreditation.
Arrange the external lab testing and coordinate necessary shipments.
Manage and procure laboratory chemicals and supplies as required.
Uphold safety standards and always maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory.
Lead monthly update meetings.
Serve as the contact person for building maintenance and asset inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Science - Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related Chemistry Degree.
At least 2 years of analytical laboratory experience, is preferred.
MUST BE a member of Institute Kimia Malaysia (IKM).
Work independently with minimum supervision.
Good English communication skills.
Able to comply with chemical handling safety procedures.#J-18808-Ljbffr
