Chief Security Officer

Job DescriptionResponsible for development, maintenance and implementation of the operator's Security ProgrammeUpdate the operator's Security Programme to correct deficiencies and to maintain it in accordance with national requirementsEnsure that the Security Programme is current and has been approved by the Appropriate Authority;Ensure the continuing effectiveness of the Security Programme by regular evaluations and by encouraging internal security audit processesEstablish and maintain effective liaison with the airport authority and other appropriate authorities responsible for security functionsEnsure thorough and effective screening of all passengers and cabin/hold baggage at each airportPromote security awareness and vigilanceEnsure adequate training of security personnel in screening the passengers and all others having security responsibilities wherever assignedEnsure an effective threat/occurrence response capability;Initiate special security measures during periods of increased risk and/or for critical flights and routesReport all actual or suspected acts of unlawful interference with aircraft operation to the Appropriate Authority for security and maintain proper record thereof.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in any fields with relevant working experience in Security Functions in aviation industry Following AVSEC Qualification like Basic AVSEC Course, Basic AVSEC Management, National Auditors and Crisis managementBasic computer knowledge : MS Office (Word & Excel)Professional security backgroundFamiliarity with aircraft and commercial air transport operationsGood communication and interpersonal skillAble to make effective liaison with regulatory authority and other agencies at the airport Basic computer knowledge : Google Suites Familiar with relevant legislation and regulations relating to aviation security;Able to work under pressure.
