Job DescriptionTo maintain a high standard of all food preparation, service, and hygiene in the respective kitchens, according to the standards required by management. The Chinese Chef might take charge of the kitchen operation when the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef are on leave or absent from work, ensuring consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in the culinary industry.
Proficient in English and Mandarin.
Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, HACCP, and safety standards.
Outgoing, creative personality, excellent communication skills, flexible working hours, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
Great attention to detail and creativity.
Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Additional InformationKnowledge and Experience
Diploma from a reputable Hospitality Management program.
Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing food production & culinary operations in a hotel, gained from working in key cities/resort destinations globally.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
Ability to speak other languages and a basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
