About the roleAs a Civil Engineer (Project Site) at SNJ Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects in the Kuala Lumpur area.
This full-time position requires on-site leadership and technical expertise to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards and within budget and timelines.
What you'll be doing
Coordinating and supervising construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety protocols, and project timelines
Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and technical data to identify potential issues and recommend solutions
Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress, quality, and safety
Liaising with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address challenges and maintain effective communication
Preparing detailed reports, documentation, and progress updates for senior management
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff on-site
Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards
What we're looking for
At least Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Civil Engineer in a construction or project management environment or any high-rise building construction
Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from start to finish
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project stakeholders
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Familiar with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
