Providing delivery of claims services, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases. Ensuring customer satisfaction and equitable solution to claims in accordance with company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Handle incoming motor OD claims efficiently and accurately, from initial notification through to settlement.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with claimants, third parties, and service providers.
Liaise with repairers on repair process and documentation needs.
Collect and review necessary documentation and information to support the claims process.
Evaluate claims based on policy coverage, liability, and potential fraud indicators.
Make informed decisions on claim settlements, ensuring they are fair and compliant with company policies.
Negotiate settlements with claimants, repairers and third parties where necessary.
Liaise with external parties such as repair shops, solicitors, and medical professionals to ensure timely and accurate claims resolution.
Ensure all claims are processed in line with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Claims.
Contribute to the development and improvement of claims handling processes and systems.
Requirements:
Diploma / Degree or equivalent.
Previous experience in motor claims handling or a similar role within the insurance industry.
Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant IT systems.
Organizational and communication skills
Analytical and negotiation skills
At least 7 years experience in insurance
Strong knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes
